TAZILLA is a subscription-based solution for efficient cybersecurity designed for specialists who:
TAZILLA brings structure, clarity, and time savings in an era when IT is an inseparable part of every organization, yet qualified cybersecurity professionals remain scarce.
The CISO as a Service project, which gave rise to the TAZILLA platform, was created through the collaboration of two Slovak companies sharing the same vision – to make quality cybersecurity accessible to all organizations, regardless of their size.
Together, they form a strong team that combines strategic vision and technological excellence.
It all began at the start of 2022. During cybersecurity audits, we realized that the market faced a severe shortage of qualified cybersecurity managers (CISOs). We also knew that the demand for them would increase even further with the introduction of the NIS2 Directive. This led us to ask two key questions: “How can we make the work of cybersecurity managers more efficient?” and “How could a single cybersecurity manager serve multiple organizations simultaneously?”
We discovered that the market lacked a practical tool to handle the broad agenda of cybersecurity management. Aside from large corporate solutions, there was nothing accessible for small and medium-sized enterprises that want to strengthen their security without unnecessary complexity.
After several successful projects for our clients – particularly in preparing applications for non-repayable EU funding – we asked ourselves another question: “Why not apply for funding for our own project that makes both business and societal sense?” As a result, our project proposal under the Digital Europe Programme was approved, and in September 2023, the European project “CISO as a Service” (Grant Agreement No. 101127962) was launched, within which the TAZILLA platform was developed.
The project runs from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2026 (36 months) and is currently in a pilot phase with a selected group of users from sectors such as healthcare, education, and public administration.
After the project launch, the first milestone – the Project Initiation Document (PID) – was completed in November 2023, defining the basic principles of project management and coordination. This was followed by the Detailed Functional Specification milestone (January 2024), which defined the main functions, architecture, and technical requirements for the TAZILLA platform. This phase laid a solid foundation for the subsequent development.
After completing the design stage, the ITACON and redByte teams began the development phase. In September 2024, the AI Feasibility Study confirmed the possibilities for integrating an AI assistant to support cybersecurity managers.
A key milestone was reached in March 2025, when the first version of the user interface and a set of Cyber Tools were introduced, including Asset and Risk Management, Vulnerability Scanner and Honeypot. The first version of TAZILLA was made available to selected organizations for pilot testing. During this period, a Mid-Term Review meeting with the European Commission also took place. Gradually, the platform’s functionalities are being expanded — for example, the addition of eLearning with AI-narrated training sessions and new services such as Code Analysis.
By the end of 2025, the platform will include advanced AI capabilities that will significantly streamline the work of cybersecurity managers.
The final phase will deliver a fully functional and automated TAZILLA solution. The final version of the platform, ready for commercial deployment, is scheduled for completion in April 2026.
The last months of the project will focus on closing development activities, conducting final testing and validation, evaluating marketing activities, and formally closing the project. Upon successful completion, TAZILLA will be ready for implementation in practice as a European “CISO as a Service” solution.
